With over three decades of navigating financial markets and advising clients, John Newsome embodies a wealth of experience in helping clients work toward their financial goals. His commitment to those goals goes beyond traditional advisory approaches, marked by a distinctive planning methodology and personalized expertise.

John received a BBA in Finance from The University of West Georgia in 1994, where he also finished a 4-year collegiate career in baseball. After college, John embarked on a distinguished career in financial services, beginning with a large, international firm, and 8 years later leaving to start his own firm. With a relentless drive to aid clients in their investment and retirement pursuits, he has dedicated his life to continuous learning and honing his craft.

John earned the RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional) designation from The American College of Financial Services to further solidify his specialization in retirement income planning. This commitment to education and improvement underscores his dedication to providing worthwhile and comprehensive financial guidance.

In January 2002, John co-founded NewCorp Wealth Management alongside his brother, Lance Newsome. Their shared vision was clear: delivering personalized financial advice and dynamic investment services to individuals, families, and businesses.

Specializing in near-term retirees and retired households, John's proficiency extends beyond asset management. His expertise encompasses cash management, risk analysis during retirement, and ongoing tax planning. He guides clients through the intricate terrain of Social Security taxation, annual RMDs (Required Minimum Distributions), and Medicare IRMAA (Income-Related Monthly Adjustment Amount) charges.

Through decades of experience and advising households through diverse market landscapes, John remains steadfast in his commitment to clients. His hallmark lies in attentive listening, understanding each client's unique objectives, and empowering them to pursue their financial aspirations.

A proud Metro Atlanta native, John resides in Cumming, Georgia, with his wife of 23 years, Sara, and their daughters, Kate and Allie. Beyond his professional commitments, he treasures time with family and friends and maintains strong community ties in the area.
